SUNNYSIDE, LITTLE BRICKHILL

We purchased this property in July 2015 and spent 14 months lovingly restoring this grade 2 listed cottage.

The initial  work was making the property structurally secure but after that, in close consultation with MK listed buildings officers, we proceeded to carry out the following:

Flooring was put back as close to original as possible with seasoned pine and oak.

The dilapidated outhouse was converted to separate one bedroom/ bathroom dwelling. A perfect home office or accommodation for friends and family to stay overnight.

The lower garden area was patioed and a lawn was laid on the upper terrace.

The cellar was converted to a perfect snug/cinema room from a disused and inaccessible room.

The upstairs areas were restored making great use of the available space but with a close eye on retaining the charm and history of the building.

A long and difficult development but hugely rewarding and reasonably profitable for Platinum was sold in September 2016.
